Director asiduo al frente de importantes orquestas y bandas
sinfónicas profesionales de Europa y América, aborda todo tipo de géneros y
realiza grabaciones discográficas, televisivas y bandas sonoras para cine. Está en posesión de los títulos: Profesor Superior de Dirección de Orquesta; Profesor Superior
de Composición; Profesor Superior de Oboe; Profesor de Solfeo, Repentización y
Transporte; etc. Ha
protagonizado importantes recuperaciones históricas de obras perdidas o
alteradas, y publicado el tratado “La Forma Marcha” editado por ABEC.
En la actualidad es director
titular de la Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Sevilla; dirige orquestas y bandas
sinfónicas e imparte conferencias y clases en universidades de España, Estados
Unidos, Portugal, Italia, Costa Rica, Eslovenia, Argentina, Lituania, Colombia,
Polonia y Venezuela; participa en congresos internacionales; forma parte de
tribunales en concursos internacionales; es
Presidente de la Sección de Música del Excmo. Ateneo de Sevilla;
colabora con todo tipo de medios de comunicación. Ha recibido numerosos
galardones y condecoraciones europeas y americanas.

FCO. JAVIER GUTIÉRREZ JUAN
(Conductor)
Born in Guillena, but
currently living in Villanueva del Ariscal, near Seville (Spain), Francisco
Javier Gutiérrez Juan is one of the leading international Spanish conductors.
He stands out on account of his versatility as a conductor of important
orchestras and professional symphonic orchestras and bands in Europe and
America, and is known for tackling all types of genres, ranging from opera to
jazz, without forgetting the great symphonic classics, operetta, flamenco, copla
(Spanish folk songs), pop, studio recordings, radio and television work,
premieres, among other work. This versatility is based on a solid musical
background based in Seville and Madrid and completed with numerous international
perfection courses both home and abroad with leading masters, and having
achieved a brilliant academic curriculum with a lot of distinction awards.
Javier has the following titles: conducting professor; professor of harmony,
musical counterpoint, composition and instrumentation; oboe professor, musical
theory professor, sight reading and transport among others.
With regard to music, he
has carried out important historical recoveries of lost or altered works and
has published the treaty “The March form” edited by ABEC. He makes
documentaries and collaborates closely with articles in the mass media like
Telesevilla, Giralda TV, El Correo TV, Ondaluz, Canal Sur Radio, COPE, Correo
de Andalucía, Diario de Sevilla and ABC among others.
Currently he is the chief
Director of the Municipal Symphonic Band of Seville; he conducts orchestras and
symphonic bands as well as giving conferences and classes in universities all
over Spain, the United States, Italy, Poland,
Slovenia, Lithuania, Portugal, Costa Rica, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela; in
addition he participates in international congresses and forms part of juries
in international competitions. He is president of the music section of the Arts
and Science Association of Seville. He has received numerous awards and prizes
both in Europe and America. He

Javier has made a large number of performances and recordings and has appeared
on television in support of Associations of Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cáritas,
and the Blind People’s Association in Argentina, among others.
